Chelsea is from New Zealand and graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy. Since then she has gained experience across a range of areas including musculoskeletal physiotherapy, post-operative rehab, sports physiotherapy and Oncology. Chelsea is also a qualified Matt and Reformer Pilates instructor and became interested in this area when rehabbing her own injuries. Chelsea is passionate about applying evidence-based care in the management of her clients’ conditions, and focuses on a full body approach to treatment. She delivers a range of manual therapy and exercise-based rehabilitation and loves working with clients from all walks of life to help them achieve their individual goals, supporting a smooth return to pre-injury function.

What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job?
My ability to communicate easily with a wide range of people from different backgrounds, cultures and ages allows me to build a good rapport with clients, creating a strong professional relationship and helping to provide the best patient centered care.

Favourite Conditions to Treat:
I enjoy treating a range of conditions including Knee, Ankle and Back injuries. I have had my own personal experience with injuries and this has given me a good understanding of how everyone’s journey is different, and each journey needs to be tailored to the individual.

What are you happiest doing when you’re not working?
Outside of work I like to stay active enjoying hiking, skiing, strength training and Pilates.

What would be your personal motto?
Motion is Lotion, keep you body moving

Who is someone you admire and why?
Ned Brockman a young Australian who ran across Australia to raise awareness for homelessness. Each day he showed up and continued his run, pushing through pain and fatigue, and showing perseverance, motivation and inspiring resilience. He showed how mental toughness can out way physical barriers.

Your most-outstanding achievement:
Becoming a qualified Oncology Physio, and helping make an impactful change for individuals going through cancer treatments.
